The Texarkana Regional Initiative is a three-state regional partnership of communities, counties, corporations, and chambers of commerce aligned to promote the economic development assets in our area. Our members represent six counties in Arkansas, two counties in Texas, and one parish in Louisiana.
Located in the geographic center of North America, all routes identified as NAFTA corridors pass through our region. The majority of the continent's imports and exports pass through our region as well, serving all domestic and international markets. Our transportation network includes over 15 well-maintained interstate and highway systems that transect the region. Because of this fact, all major freight companies have terminals within the Texarkana Regional Initiative's area and a Foreign Trade Zone has been established in Northeast Texas.
Electric, water and natural gas supplies are plentiful, making our utility rates among the lowest in the nation.
Workforce is the key business resource in any region, and the Texarkana Regional Initiative's area draws from a population of 380,000.
Located in the Texarkana Regional Initiative's area are two four year universities, three two year colleges and a state of the art airframe and power plant school.
Healthcare facilities in the region reach every level of medical need.
Quality of life you would expect from a vacation - find it all year long in our region.
Whatever your corporate expansion needs may be the Texarkana Regional Initiative will offer you opportunities that exceed you expectations.
Contact us if you have future plans of expanding or relocating your industry. We will help you find the perfect building or site your are looking for.
